In the low-rise new home sector, customers are expecting builders to be knowledgeable about energy efficiency, environmental standards, innovative products, and healthy homes. With a proliferation of energy efficient and green labels in the market place it's easy to become confused as to the practical next steps in improving building practices.
Combined, veteran home raters Paul Duffy and John Godden (founding members of CRESNET- the Canadian Residential Energy Services Network) have more than 50 years practical experience in helping builders excel within home rating programs.
In this workshop, they will explore and analyze technologies highlighted in various rating programs and the winning strategies builders have used to successfully implement each.
This course will look at practical recommendations for building better homes, while exploring the underlying rationale and building science behind ENERGY STAR for New Homes, Green House, R-2000, LEED for Homes, and the Net Zero/Equilibrium initiatives. Find out which programs might work for you and how to take full advantage of the opportunities they provide.
